All North Trail students gathered in the gyms, books in hand, for a skit put on by teachers (from the book The True Story of the Three Little Pigs). This was followed by 20 min. of silent reading by all students & staff. The event was sponsored by the NTE PTP and the Literacy Team and was a huge success as it brought in over $10,000 of donated pledges. This will help to fund the Summer Reading Program, literacy needs, book room, classroom libraries and other literacy enrichments. Students spent the remainder of the day in their classrooms where they continued to log another 100 min. of reading.
